Frequently asked questions
Here's what we recommend to ensure a great session:
- Bathing suit or something you're comfortable sweating / plunging in
- Water bottle (glass bottles are not welcome in the sauna for safety) - We highly encourage bringing your own reusable mug for tea We provide a robe, a small towel (to sit on and to dry off with after), hot water, un-caffeinated tea bags and filtered water.
We provide two small towels for sitting in the sauna and drying off at the end.
All of our team members are CPR & First Aid trained. Not all sessions are guided, but our onsite host would be happy to support you throughout your session.
Our team on site is there to help assist you throughout your experience. While not all sessions are guided, our team is there to answer any questions you have along the way.

There are plenty of paid street parking available within the neighborhood.
A guided session is an experience designed to allow participants to get out of their head and drop into their bodies, to fully immerse into the hot and cold modalities. A guided session includes programming that may include all or some of the following: pranayama breath work, yoga inspired movement, guided plunges, and intentional conversation.
Our guided experiences are ever evolving as our team continues to develop their skillsets. Please let us know if theres a theme you're interested in us designing for your private session or drop-in!
Guided sessions are currently offered by Drew and Jade.
You can book a Private Session on our website by navigating to the appropriate booking page and choosing the time that you prefer. Our private sessions can accommodate up to 12 guests total. There is a $20 fee for each additional guest up to a max of 16, and you have the option to request for it to be a guided experience, or cycle through at your leisure. We highly encourage you to contact us at hello@gatherwell.ca and provide context about the event that you're planning. You can also text us at 604-800-6884.
If you're planning to host a bigger group or book a time outside of our regular schedule, please contact us directly before booking. We love events as much as you do so we will always do our best to make it happen!
Please note: This is a booking request system. Your booking is not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation from us saying we have approved the time and date of your request.
Our sauna can comfortably host a maximum of 10 people at once. Our team kindly enforces this to ensure everyone has the best experience possible.

Yes! Please check our schedule for the most up to date session times.
Free Flow sessions run for 50 minutes, where you can sit comfortably on a small towel and dry off with another, and robes are provided. With only 5 spots per session and a 30-minute overlap, it's the perfect opportunity to spark conversations and make new friends. On the other hand, Community Gather sessions offer a more leisurely vibe, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes with a small towel and a cozy robe to keep you snug. These sessions host up to 10 participants, creating a laid-back atmosphere.
Both classes welcome everyone, whether you prefer to join with friends or come alone. Our hosts will guide you through the hot and cold elements, helping you make the most of your experience.
Yes! Please drop by during open hours and let our Host know what you're looking for. We collect lost items for 30 days, after which they will be donated.
Our Community and Free Flow sessions are designed for adults only to ensure a serene and rejuvenating experience. If you'd like to bring a group of minors, please contact us about booking a Private Session.
You are eligible for a full refund if you cancel your reservation up to 2 hours in advance of the scheduled session. For private sessions, a 48-hour notice prior to the scheduled session is required to be eligible for a refund.
Please try and do this by creating an account on our website with the email associated with your initial booking. If you can not cancel through your account, please notify us and we will support.
If you created an account at the time of your booking, please log in and head to your booking history to edit your booking by cancelling or rescheduling.
If you did NOT create an account, not to worry! You can retroactively create an account with the same email that you made your booking with. Our system will merge your booking with your new account. You can proceed to edit your booking if you are within the appropriate time frame.
Rescheduling a drop-in session requires 2 hours notice, and cancelling will require 2 hours if you would like a refund. Rescheduling a private session requires 24 hours notice, and cancelling will require 48 hours notice. Thank you for your understanding!

Late Cancellations: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled session. Additionally, rescheduling within 2 hours of the scheduled time may be subject to availability.
