Why should I do hot & cold therapy?
Hot and cold therapy is used for a multitude of mental and physical benefits. Join us at gatherwell, where we offer a cedar barrel sauna, and ice tubs for you to cycle through as many times as you need until your nervous system has entered a calm and resting state. This practice helps your mind and body build resilience, and strengthens the nervous systems stress-coping mechanisms.
Sauna
Start with 10-15 minutes in our locally designed, cedar sauna aided by a drop or two of essential oils.
Community
While your body is self regulating between cycles, enjoy a hot tea around the fireplace with other community members.
Plunge
Follow up your sweat by submerging for 30 seconds to 2 minutes in one of our four ice baths. This is the resilience building portion of the cycle for your nervous system.
